Improve product quality and consistency by conducting checks at receiving, processing and shipping. Facilitate the implementation of the GFSI standard by supporting the FSQA role and operation activities in the plant. Monitor implementation all Food safety, Regulatory and Quality programs within the assigned area of responsibility- Hablamos Español!

Schedule:
Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 2:30 pm- (Saturday as needed)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform incoming raw material check, including trailer inspection (cleanliness, temperature, overall conditions), box inspection (intact, undamaged), product appearance & temperature, adherence to product purchasing specifications and weight Perform outgoing finished product inspection, including reviewing filled orders for accuracy, inspecting box condition prior to shipping, verify product temperature is within acceptable level, inspecting trailers for cleanliness, temperature, satisfactory condition and completion of box label, product content and weight checks.
Company policies and procedures include:
safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and must be adhered to.SUPERVISION

RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
FSQA department, Warehouse & Processing employees. The incumbent is required to interact with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels of responsibility throughout the company in a professional manner
External:
USDA/FDA
officialsWORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to work continually in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F. Must be able to work for periods of time in a freezer environment -10°F to +10°F with company provided apparel. May require overtime with or without notice. Finish time is when work is completed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a minimum of 1year of experience in food production environment.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma/GED required
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING
- HACCP Certified preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- USDA or FDA experience Preferred This role may also receive overtime compensation.
