Quality audits Food safety Full Job Description Immediately hiring a Food Production Quality Inspector for a large company on the northeast side of San Antonio. The climate is 40-42 degrees. The quality inspector's main responsibility is to handle food safety, regulatory compliance, product quality monitoring, and production documentation. Pay is $18/hr. Shift is Mon-Fri 5am-2pm (or until finished)
Duties:
Monitor production lines to ensure food products meet quality and safety standards Perform routine inspections of raw materials, packaging, equipment, and finished goods Verify compliance with SQF programs, HACCP plans, GMPs, and USDA regulations Conduct pre-operational and sanitation inspections before production starts Check temperatures, weights, labels, metal detector performance, and product specifications Collect samples for microbiological, chemical, or sensory testing Document quality checks, deviations, corrective actions, and inspection results Prepare records for USDA inspectors and third-party SQF audits Assist during USDA inspections and SQF certification audits Identify non-conforming products and placing affected items on hold Investigate customer complaints, product defects, or contamination concerns Train production employees on food safety procedures and sanitation practices Ensure allergen control procedures are followed correctly Monitor sanitation crews and verifying cleaning effectiveness Review batch records, lot traceability, and recall documentation
Requirements:
Seeking at least 1-2 years of experience quality in food production Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, and USDA regulations Experience with food safety audits and inspections Attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to work in cold environment Please call/text 210-664-2680 #vipstaffing #zrsat
