POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector is responsible for efficient operations through oversight and coordination of work tasks throughout different production lines; additionally ensuring the quality standards for raw materials, processed products, and processing procedures are maintained. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring inspections and lines are completed accurately, efficiently, thoroughly, and methodically to ensure quality standards are upheld to provide the best product line.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs inspections of all product in a thorough, methodical, and accurate manner, identifying defects, inadequate color, damage, etc., documenting inspection results, and recommending improvements to the production process. Works with production teams to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with industry standards Monitors and reduces production downtime and product waste in operations Communicates all pertinent information between departments and between shifts on changes to equipment, production schedules, production problems or any other related information. Communicates with employees on identifying and troubleshooting Quality related defects/issues Manages machinery set-up and adjustment and inspects products to ensure compliance to standards Oversees final product quality and recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal performance within the required limits Completes necessary documentation such as production sheets, pallet ticketing, job progressions, etc. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures Communicate with the Quality Supervisor on all quality opportunities and findings Collaborate and coordinate with Production on any issues pertaining to the production line performance Maintain and follow through on lists generated by audits, inspections, or maintenance Participate on the Safety programs and committees; follow all site safety policies, company policies and procedures work safely and wear appropriate PPE Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Prefer Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Quality Technology, Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field or two-year technical degree or equivalent Prefer - 2 years' experience in quality inspection & inspection processes Prefer experience maintaining motor controls, installations, maintenance, and repairs Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and processes
GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Mechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling) Use of precision measuring instruments A demonstrated experience where quick-thinking and problem solving plays a critical role Handle simple and complex heavy industrial equipment like forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks, etc. Working knowledge of all automation standard practices Strong organizational skills and proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed records that will be audited periodically Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines Must be able to identify and execute improvement opportunities through both process improvements and system improvements Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds Preference will be given to qualified local candidates
SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
General knowledge of basic hardware and software and uses of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace, and web-site software Mid Level SAP or Quality Management System experience, preferred

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL FACTORS
The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the position(s). Daily contact with other departmental personnel. Occasionally works in all weather conditions, extreme temperatures, around chemicals and chemical fumes/emissions, dusty & clean environments. Frequently works with electrical and mechanical hazards. When working with surplus and scrap materials, will frequently be required to work outside and/or in an unaired conditioned warehouse. Continuous use of vision, hearing and speech. Frequent sitting, standing, walking and occasional bending. Will lift, carry, pull / push, and reach for supplies and on occasion lifting (up to 50 lbs.) while performing various aspects of the job; Will need to climb stairs, climb ladders, lift and move objects, requires manual dexterity and repetitive use of keyboard/computer devices/power tools/machining equipment; Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS
12 hour rotating shifts 4 days on and 4 days off; Rotating shifts requires working night shifts; Present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; Schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which may include long days, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime; Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position Envases Commerce, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #LI-ONSITE
