Utility Inspection Locator InterCon Construction, Inc. United States, Wisconsin, Madison May 26, 2026 POSITION
OVERVIEW
The Utility Inspection Locator is responsible for assisting the operator in locating the robot using proper protocols.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares the robot for launch. Tracks robot and provides depth and location documentation while using a locating receiver. Follows protocols for maintaining the camera system and related equipment. Paints depth on surfaces. Documents location on flags in the field. Assists in driving and fueling the Utility Inspection Trucks. Serves as a spotter when moving the vehicle in tight locations. Assists in soldering and repair of the robot and equipment. Follows safety procedures while operating various types of heavy equipment as related to each project.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Possesses a valid driver's license with a good, clean driving record. Willingness to travel. Must be at least 21 years of age to cross over state lines. Knowledge of sewer components, accessories, and equipment preferred but not required. Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Ability to perform in a highly accurate manner paying close attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills; ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and directions. Maintains a cooperative, professional, friendly attitude with supervisors, coworkers, and clients; ability to deal with conflict constructively and resolve conflicts effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel required. Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. regularly.
