Job Description
Greenbrier, Monroe, Pocahontas, and Summers County 1 Vacancy This posting is for a Weights & Measures inspector with the West Virginia Division of Labor, Weights & Measures section. Headquartered at your home, you will have an area of assignment to travel the state to inspect and test small to medium capacity scales, retail motor fuel stations, net content packaging compliance, and price verification compliance. State vehicle and equipment provided. All travel expenses paid. Become a member of the National Council on Weights & Measures. Perform inspections for compliance with NIST handbook 44, 130, and 133. Hands-on training provided. Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) lbs for extended periods of time. Candidates must have a valid WV Driver's License. Accurate data entry into agency databases and reports is required. Work in a variety of settings including: indoors, retail grocery and consumer stores, outdoors, retail fuel stations, farms, chemical and manufacturing plants, coal mines, etc. Perform other duties as assigned.
