As a Tree Pruner / Arborist / Groundsman, you'll work as part of a skilled crew to care for trees and shrubs on residential client properties — contributing to a healthier urban forest, one property at a time. Key Responsibilities Perform tree pruning, canopy work, and structural pruning following industry best practices Assist with tree removal, shrub pruning, mulch installation, and stump grinding as needed Work safely at height-climbing and/or operating aerial equipment, while following all safety protocols Operate small engine equipment including chain saws, pole saws, shears, and string trimmers Function effectively as both a team member and an independent operator depending on the task Communicate professionally with clients regarding the scope, process, and expectations of services Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site throughout each project
Requirements:
Forestry, horticulture, or a related field is a plus — as is prior industry experience. That said, if you bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn both on the job and on your own time, our structured training program will equip you with everything you need to succeed. All candidates must be able to meet the following: High School Diploma or equivalent required Good physical condition with the ability to lift 50+ lbs. and walk 3+ miles per day Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions Ability to climb and work aloft safely Ability to obtain DOT certification, pass background check, and drug screenings Valid driver's license required Strong team-player mindset with a commitment to safety Preferred Qualifications ISA Certified Arborist credential (or actively working toward certification) Prior experience in a professional tree care, landscaping, or forestry environment Familiarity with
ANSI A300
pruning and safety standards Experience operating aerial lifts or bucket trucks
