JOB TITLE:
Summer Youth Crew Member Job Summary:
Provide support to MYC Crew Leader and community partners on natural resource conservation projects.
Essential Job Functions:
Projects includes watershed and wetlands restoration, native planting, invasive plant species removal, urban tree canopy improvements, trail maintenance, trail construction and other work projects related to natural area improvements.
Other Job Functions:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications-Required Education and Experience:
Youth must be ages 16-19 Oregon Fingerprinting and Criminal Background Check clearance, if not already completed: Fingerprint Appointment I-9 documentation Acceptable I9 Documents
Skills:
Knowledge and/or Abilities Required Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be physically able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Adhere to MYC rules for safety, proper dress code, and worksite conduct. Work as a part of a team. Follow instructions given by the supervisor. Wear personal protective equipment
Preferences:
Interest in Natural Resources, Forestry, Conservation, Northwest Ecology. Enjoy being outside and active. Preference is given to youth within the Reynolds School District who are interested in enrolling in the MYC School Year Program.
Working Conditions:
All work is performed outdoors, in public parks, or community settings.
Schedule:
M-Th 8:00am-3:00pm: 6.5 hours per day •This is a temporary position from June 29, 2026-July 31, 2026•
