Job Description

Job Summary Hardscaping Crew Member Myers Lawn & Landscape is seeking a hardworking, dependable individual to join our growing hardscaping team. As a Hardscaping Crew Member, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to build beautiful outdoor living spaces including patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, and other custom hardscape features. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in building quality projects, and isn't afraid of hard work. Previous experience is a great asset, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Please note:
This is an extremely physically demanding position. Applicants should be comfortable performing strenuous manual labor for extended periods in all weather conditions, including hot and humid summer temperatures. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, and other hardscape features. Prepare job sites by excavating, grading, leveling, and compacting materials. Install pavers, natural stone, block, concrete, and other landscape construction materials. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, saws, and other construction equipment. Read and follow project plans, measurements, and installation specifications. Mix concrete, set forms, and assist with finishing concrete as needed. Assist in operating heavy equipment for excavation and material movement under supervision. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment throughout the workday. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Work closely with crew members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining Myers Lawn & Landscape's high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Physical Requirements This position requires individuals who are capable of performing physically demanding work on a daily basis.
Applicants must be able to:
Lift and carry at least 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Perform strenuous physical labor for 8-10 hour shifts. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including high heat, humidity, cold temperatures, light rain, and direct sunlight. Frequently bend, kneel, squat, climb, shovel, rake, push, pull, and carry heavy materials. Stand and walk for extended periods on uneven terrain. Safely perform repetitive lifting, digging, and material handling throughout the day. Experience & Qualifications Previous experience in hardscaping, landscaping, construction, masonry, or concrete work is preferred but not required . We are happy to train motivated individuals who demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Experience operating power tools and construction equipment is a plus. Ability to read construction plans and blueprints is beneficial but not required. Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other heavy equipment is an advantage. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
