Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Stump Grinder and Forestry Mulching Specialist. This position involves operating specialized equipment to grind stumps, clear land, and forestry mulch debris with precision and care. You will be instrumental in supporting tree care projects, land clearing initiatives, and landscape maintenance efforts If you thrive outdoors, enjoy working with machinery, and are passionate about wanting to work. Duties Operate stump grinders and forestry mulching machines efficiently to remove stumps, clear brush, and mulch trees and debris in accordance with project specifications. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to assist with land mapping and project planning. Conduct rigging operations for tree removal or limb disassembly using arborist rigging techniques to ensure safe and controlled work processes. Perform tree removal tasks including cutting, pruning, and trimming to promote healthy growth or prepare sites for development. Follow all safety protocols rigorously during operation of heavy machinery like chainsaws, skid steers, stump grinders and mulchers to prevent accidents. Skills Proven experience operating heavy outdoor equipment including stump grinders, chainsaws, and mulching machinery. Familiarity with technology for land mapping and project planning purposes. Excellent understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work and machinery operation. Effective communication skills for teamwork and safety instructions during complex operations. $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
