Job Description

EDKO, LLC
is seeking utility vegetation management professionals, and/or candidates with a work experience or a degree in forestry or a related field to fill the role of a General Foreman.
Requirements:
The ability to work independently with excellent communication skills. An AA or BA Degree in forestry, arboriculture, or a related field; or utility vegetation management experience. Commercial Pesticide Applicator License or ability to become certified within 1-year is preferred. Local tree knowledge beneficial Ability to work in inclement weather Ability to interpret and follow maps Ability to use a laptop computer, GPS, and GIS Ability to travel including overnight stays regularly Valid CDL A Driver License required and clean MVR Proficient in MS Office Able to communicate effectively with landowners & customer representatives Herbicide experience preferred Ability to diagnose and repair equipment to include but not limited to tractors, forestry mulchers, gooseneck trailers, and diesel trucks Knowledge of forestry mulching is prefferred Responsibilities include: Daily interaction with crews Crew scheduling Project tracking Work planning Data management QA / QC audits Customer/landowner interaction Operating, diagnosing, and repairing forestry equipment Hauling heavy equipment
