Direct Support (DSP) FT Evenings/Mandatory Weekends-No overnights

Mesa, AZ Early Evenings/Mandatory Weekends Empowerment Life Services, LLC group homes is looking for responsible adults desiring opportunities to help with the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of foster kids, ages 5-17 years old in a sibling group home. The children may have behavioral/mental health issues due to their background of abuse and/or neglect and the goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:

Dispense medications Teach youth life skills Meal preparation-with youth assistance Paper work/documentation Redirect and de-escalate client behaviors Transport in company van Cleanliness and upkeep of the home Ability to hand stressful situations Can multi-task

Minimum Qualifications:

MUST PASS DRUG TEST

Lived in AZ for the past 5 years 21+ years or older High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must possess Fingerprint Clearance Card 1 year experience working with youth CPR/First Aid Certified Valid drivers license, NO DUI, minimal offenses Pass pre-employment physical and physical abilities test Will need TB test Must be able to lift 50 lbs
