Our makerspace emphasizes real engineering tools and authentic project-based learning. Students design, build, and create using 3D printers, laser cutters, hand and power tools, electronics, soldering equipment, robotics, and more. We're looking for someone who is comfortable mentoring students, helping them safely use tools, troubleshooting projects, and encouraging creativity. Schedule We are currently hiring for summer programming beginning in August , with opportunities to continue during the school year.

Summer Program:

Approximately full-time hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

School Year:

Primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays , with shifts typically falling between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Occasional holiday camps may be available (holiday pay provided). Offsite school position available as well; may be available in nearby cities (During School Hours) Optional Saturday shifts may also be available. Applicants interested in either the summer position, the school-year position, or both are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Mentor students working on independent makerspace projects. Teach hands-on engineering and makerspace classes. Plan and prepare engaging lessons and projects. Ensure safe and proper use of all tools and equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment. Qualifications Experience working with children or students. Experience with some or all of the following: 3D printers Laser cutters Hand tools Power tools Electronics Soldering Robotics Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn. Patience, kindness, and the ability to encourage students as they build confidence and skills. An engineering, technical, maker, or STEM background is preferred, but hands-on experience and enthusiasm for teaching are just as valuable.
