at State of Delaware in Dover, Delaware, United States Job Description The Weights and Measures Section is seeking to hire a Weights and Measures Inspector I to work in the Sussex County area. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing and regulating all commercial transactions involving weighing or measuring. Regulates all devices used commercially to determine weight, measurement, or count. It is also responsible for enforcing the Delaware Packaging and Labeling Regulations under the supervision of the Weights and Measures Administrator. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Weights and Measures Inspector I Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Knowledge of inspecting, testing, weighing and measuring devices. Knowledge of math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, or decimals. Knowledge of record keeping. Knowledge of applying laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures. Knowledge of using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
