Write, read, and speak Spanish Job Overview We are seeking a Weighmaster to support operations at the county landfill and transfer station. This position is responsible for operating scales, recording daily intakes, assisting customers, and maintaining records and the scale house facility. The Weighmaster ensures accurate weighing of vehicles, provides excellent customer service, and performs other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements Minimum one year of experience in scale operations, customer service, or a similar role Valid Florida driver's license Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to operate a computer and maintain records Experience operating and maintaining weighing equipment or scale systems Experience maintaining accurate records, logs, and reports Experience providing customer service in a fast-paced environment Experience handling cash, fees, or transactions accurately Experience working in industrial, warehouse, landfill, or outdoor operational environments Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to operate a computer and use basic software programs for reporting Experience Preferences Experience working in solid waste, landfill, or transfer station operations Knowledge of scale house equipment and software Experience in maintaining logs, reports, and customer service records Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to sit, walk, lift objects up to 25 lbs, kneel, crouch, reach, or stand for extended periods Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent recognized certification Training Schedule TBD Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. May require weekends or after-hours work as needed Dress Code TBD Benefits TBD Additional Information Drug screening, background, and reference checks are performed if required.
