Spirit Defense - Experienced Sealer Spirit AeroSystems United States, Kansas, Wichita 3801 South Oliver Street (Show on map) Aug 20, 2026 Overview This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit's Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.
Responsibilities Position Responsibilities:
Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. For major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell. Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aero-dynamic seal and pressure test, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures. Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Must be willing and able to work any shift. Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship) Ability to work on concrete floors, uneven surfaces, and in confined spaces, as well as walk on open floor beams, climb on stairs/scaffolding, crawl/kneel in workstation, and lift/move parts and/or tools Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements. Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression. Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression. Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as: errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc. Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels. Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure. Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking

Summary Pay Range:
$25.09/hour, with potential to earn up to $43.13/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement. Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Visa Sponsorship Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
