Fallon@ymcamn.org Description This opportunity is for a pre-selected SuperKids Camp Health Professional to support Camp Ihduhapi from August 23-27 1.
Opportunity Summary:
You will be responsible for providing medical care of ill or injured campers and team members and related administrative duties as an EMT, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Doctor. This includes providing excellent customer service in a safe, enjoyable, and positive atmosphere that promotes program participant safety and satisfaction in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. 2. 
General Responsibilities:
The healthcare office is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Administer camper prescription medications as directed. Dispense over-the-counter medications as appropriate. Assess campers and team members who are ill or injured and determine if further medical attention is needed. Assist in stabilizing campers and team members requiring transportation to medical facilities. Contact parent/guardian of ill or injured campers and team members (if appropriate) and update them as necessary. Document all injuries and care rendered. This involves documentation of all over-the-counter medicines, first aid treatment, communication with parent/guardian, doctors or any other off-camp facilities. Maintain inventory of supplies. Keep healthcare office clean and organized. Counseling as needed (e.g. homesick campers). Conduct health screenings for each camper upon arrival and departure as directed. Review health history and physical exam forms prior to camper arrival as directed. 3.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Active Healthcare Professional State License Good communication skills and patience when working with campers and parents/guardians Dedicated to camper safety and the Y mission and philosophy Contractor application Criminal Background Check Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision. Strong organizational and communication skills. 4.
