Foreman - 2nd Shift - Tuesdays and Wednesdays off

The Foreman shall be responsible for overseeing and performing, but not limited to, the following: Scrubbing pipe fittings and machines with chemical solutions and brushes, dismantling and reassembling machines, attaching pipes and fitting to the machines using wrenches, opening containers and bags to dump various ingredients into machine hoppers, start and stop machine and equipment, load cartons into machines, do minor adjustments to machines as needed to maintain operations, climb, stoop, crawl, twist, turn, and move objects above and below the head, walk continuously.

Required Technical Skills:

Ability to work well with others. Basic computer skills. Ability to work in a safe and clean area. Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to perform basic mathematics. Ability to fill out daily written reports.

Required Soft Skills:

Ability to work without direct supervision. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Coachable and willing to learn. Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Physical Requirements:

(S)he may be required to load and move stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds or ice cream racks weighing 1,000 pounds for the duration of the shift in the staging and loading of trailers. May be required to stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time.

Education, Certifications and Experience:

The following is preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.

The Dairy Plant Worker is an hourly position and reports to the Cooler or Plant Manager. This position is also subject to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) under Teamsters Local 245. Working overtime, evenings, and holidays may be required. I understand the description of this job and the essential functions, as given above.
