Job Description

The Short-Term Rental Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning, staging, and preparing rental properties between guest stays to ensure a high-quality, guest-ready experience. This role focuses on efficient turnovers, attention to detail, and maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards across assigned properties. This position is compensated on a per-job (per turnover) basis , with payment provided for each property cleaned and completed according to company standards. Job Requirements Prior housekeeping, residential cleaning, hotel, or Airbnb/short-term rental experience. Experience with Airbnb, VRBO, or other short-term rental platforms. Experience with high-volume or same-day turnover environments. Familiarity with property management or cleaning apps/systems. Ability to perform detailed cleaning and staging tasks efficiently between bookings Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation Ability to follow standardized turnover procedures and quality expectations Core Competencies & Expectations Demonstrated integrity and accountability in completing assignments accurately and honestly. Ability to consistently follow detailed cleaning standards, checklists, and instructions. Strong self-management skills , with the ability to work independently after initial training. Self-starter who takes initiative and manages workload without direct supervision. Clear, direct, and timely communication regarding job status, issues, or needs. Willingness to proactively ask questions and request clarification or support when needed. Commitment to maintaining quality, consistency, and reliability across all assigned properties. Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict turnover deadlines. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks across multiple properties. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays based on booking needs. Essential Functions Perform full turnover cleaning of short-term rental properties in accordance with established standards and checklists. Clean, sanitize, and prepare kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas to ensure a guest-ready experience. Change linens, make beds, and stage spaces to meet presentation expectations Restock required supplies and ensure all guest essentials are in place. Conduct detailed quality checks to ensure all cleaning and staging standards are met prior to completion. Follow all provided instructions and procedures consistently for each assigned property. Work independently to complete assigned jobs within required timeframes and before guest check-in deadlines. Provide timely and professional updates on job status, completion, or any delays. Proactively communicate any issues, damages, missing items, or maintenance needs. Take and submit required photos or completion confirmations as part of the turnover process. Request clarification, supplies, or support when needed to successfully complete assignments. Maintain accountability for ensuring each job meets quality expectations prior to submission.
