Job Description

Description:
Welcome to Family First Developmental Disability Solutions, where you'll be rewarded for hard work and supported in your professional growth. •We require that BHPs have a minimum of 10 hours, this can be accomplished with 1 or multiple BHP clients.•Clearly defined duties Flexible schedules Professional development assistance Health insurance (for full-time BHPs/DSPs who work 35+ hours per week) 401K BHP Hours are typically 3:00pm -6:00pm (after school hours) occasionally there are hours, however these are early morning prior to the school day.
Responsibilities:
Follow a detailed support plan with goals specific to each client's needs and be respectful of each client's wishes and personal preferences. Domestic support skills for supporting clients at home include cooking, cleaning, and organizing daily activities. DSP/Adult clients, this also covers arranging and going to medical appointments, shopping, transportation, and managing housing requirements. Working on an array of goals to support clients in accessing social activities and utilizing community resources. Community inclusion support will likely include: attending social and volunteering events with clients, encouraging client involvement in community, advocating for clients, and providing transportation Ensuring client's health and safety. Working with others in the interest of the individuals we support. Proper documentation compliance in accordance with State of ME regulatory guidelines and practices using the ClearCare/Well Sky phone app.

Qualifications:
Module ONE of the BHP training (out of 13 modules) must be completed before being paired with a client. This training is provided internally. High School Diploma or G.E.D. as well as proof of completion. At least 18 years of age. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Pass a criminal, drug, and background check. Three references. Own a smartphone. Able to keep online records and communicate via email. Reliable transportation, valid proof of insurance, and up-to-date vehicle registration. Have a valid Driver's License Proper Certification Required BHP/DSP Have or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other training as required per state of Maine or clients' Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) Have or be willing to obtain up-to-date, CDC-recommended immunizations for healthcare workers including: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B and Seasonal Influenza
