Job Description

VICTORY SPRINKLER
Irrigation Field Professional 8+ Years Required • North County, San Diego $30-$35/hr + Uncapped Performance Bonuses • $70-80K+ Earning Potential
WHO WE ARE
Victory Sprinkler is a locally owned irrigation company serving homeowners across North County San Diego. We exist because homeowners need a higher level of irrigation expertise and service — and because the best pros in this trade deserve a place where their skills are genuinely valued and rewarded. We're a small, growing team and building something we're really proud of. That means investing in our people, training together, working alongside each other, and delivering service that leaves every client impressed. If you're an irrigation pro who loves the work, cares about doing it right, and wants an opportunity to grow — we'd love to meet you.
COMPENSATION
Base Rate:
$30-$35/hr depending on experience + Uncapped performance bonuses • $70-80K+ earning potential Going the extra mile isn't optional here — it's who we hire. This role comes with an uncapped performance bonus structure because we expect excellence and we reward it accordingly. Top performers at Victory earn $80K and beyond. That's the standard we're building.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Your field skills are everything in this role. You'll be trusted to handle the full scope of irrigation — from routine maintenance to complex problem-solving — and to represent Victory with every client you meet. We work inside and around people's homes. That means every visit calls for a high level of care, detail, and respect for the property and client — treating each home as if it were your own. Our clients trust us, and we take that seriously. This is very different from commercial work. Diagnose and repair all irrigation system types — controllers, heads, valves, mainlines, drip lines, lateral lines, PVC, brass, etc. Perform wire tracing, pressure tests, and full inspections Leak detection — find it, diagnose it, fix it Troubleshoot and solve complex irrigation problems with confidence Program, service, manage, and install smart and ET-based controllers from multiple manufacturers and their phone apps Roll up your sleeves and get the job done — no task is beneath you Treat every property with the care and respect a homeowner expects Deliver a warm, friendly, and professional experience for every client on every visit Leave every job site cleaner than you found it Create accurate site inspections, proposals, and repair documentation Manage your schedule and vehicle with care and pride Everything else — software, bidding, documentation, processes — we'll train you on. What we can't train is great field instincts, attention to detail, a great attitude, and a genuine love for working with people. That's what we're looking for.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Beyond the technical skills, we're looking for someone who shows up as a great person — someone we're all excited to work alongside every day: Honest & integrity-driven — you own your mistakes, never cut corners, and always do the right thing Highly detail-oriented — you notice the small things, care about getting them right, and deliver clean work Respectful & property-aware — you treat your tools, vehicles, and every home as if it were your own Genuinely friendly — warm, approachable, and easy for clients to trust Self-starter & go-getter — hungry to grow, earn more, and build something real Disciplined — on time, organized, and accountable every single day Fun to work with — we take the work seriously, but we enjoy doing it together Strong English communication is required. A valid CA Driver's License with a clean record is a must. CIT, CLCA, MWELO, or QWEL certifications are a great plus — but not a dealbreaker if you've got the skills and the drive.
TRAINING & CAREER GROWTH
We're serious about developing our people. From day one you'll receive ongoing on-the-job training — working side by side with the owner — focused on delivering the highest level of service in the industry. We believe that when our team gets better, everyone wins. For those who want to build a real career in irrigation, Victory is the place to do it. As we grow, so do the opportunities. We want our people to grow with us for the long haul.
YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS
Here's what you can expect when you join
Victory:
01. Have the opportunity to earn significantly more than what the industry currently offers 02. Work directly alongside the owner — real mentorship, no layers 03. You will work hard, but have the support you need to do great work 04. Be part of a team that wants to help you accomplish your goals
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
We take hiring seriously. Before joining the Victory team, all candidates must meet the following requirements and complete a skills verification process: Minimum requirements — all must be met to be considered: 8+ years of hands-on irrigation experience — installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of irrigation systems Valid California Driver's License with a clean DMV record Strong English communication skills — you'll be interacting directly with homeowners on every job Professional appearance — you represent Victory Sprinkler in every client's home Skills verification & field assessment: You will be expected to complete a hands-on skills assessment before an offer is made. This is how we verify that candidates can deliver the level of field work and client service that Victory is built on. Come ready to demonstrate what you know.
HOW TO APPLY
If you meet the requirements above, we'd love to hear from you. In your application, please share: 1. How many years of irrigation experience do you have? 2. List your past job experience — include job title, company, and years in each role 3. What other skills do you have that are related to irrigation (home plumbing, backflows, etc) 4.
