In this vital role, you will support the overall maintenance and enhancement of the golf course, ensuring optimal playability, aesthetic appeal, and environmental sustainability. Your leadership will help uphold the highest standards of turf health, landscape quality, and course safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in grounds management while contributing to a premier golfing experience. Responsibilities Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily turf care, including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control to maintain good playing conditions Support landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning, and landscape installation projects to enhance course beauty Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues promptly Supervise crew members during routine grounds maintenance tasks, providing guidance on equipment operation and safety protocols Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently, including mowers, trimmers, and hardscape tools Be an asset for the Superintendent as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or groundskeeping with a focus on outdoor work environments Supervising experience managing teams of crew members in a landscaping or golf course setting Strong knowledge of irrigation management, hardscape features, and general landscaping techniques Ability to identify plants, trees, and turfgrass species accurately for appropriate care routines Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment and company vehicles responsibly Knowledge of tree care practices and gardening fundamentals is preferred Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and safety standards Join us in creating an exceptional golf course environment!
