Our agronomic team is dedicated to providing exceptional championship conditions, recently highlighted by hosting a U.S. Open qualifying tournament. We manage high-performance turf, featuring TifEagle ultradwarf bermudagrass greens and Bimini bermudagrass fairways and tees. We pride ourselves on a progressive, data-driven approach to turf management and a collaborative team environment. Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This individual will work directly alongside the Golf Course Superintendent to execute daily maintenance strategies, coordinate ongoing agronomic projects, and lead the turf crew. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and comfortable integrating technology into daily course management.

Key Responsibilities Daily Operations:

Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervising the daily maintenance of the East course.

Data-Driven Turf Management:

Utilize digital course tracking tools, including the USGA Deacon system to accurately monitor green speeds, soil moisture levels, and surface firmness.

Agronomic Execution:

Supervise and participate in key cultural practices, including targeted core aerification, verti-cutting, topdressing, and specialized procedures like Dry-Ject sand injections.

Chemical & Fertilizer Applications:

Assist in the calibration, scheduling, and precise application of custom fertility regimens and plant protectants.

Staff Leadership:

Train, motivate, and manage course maintenance staff, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are consistently met. Qualifications Certificate, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field. 1-3 years of golf course maintenance experience. Experience with ultradwarf bermudagrass management is highly preferred. Possess or obtain a Florida Restricted Use Pesticide license within 90 days of employment. Strong understanding of water management strategies, irrigation troubleshooting, and digital measuring tools. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a management team.
