Job Description

Cemetery Grounds Superintendent Confidential Kokomo, IN From $65,000 a year - Full-time From $65,000 a year - Full-time A well-established cemetery in Central Indiana is seeking a full-time Grounds Superintendent. You will be responsible for the care, maintenance, safety, and security of employees and visitors at the location, while maintaining the property's overall upkeep and appearance.

Responsibilities Include:

Maintenance of the property and improvements, including buildings and their fixtures, equipment, and all operations Maintaining and operating maintenance equipment and machinery, including backhoe and mowing/trimming equipment, as well as handling the operation of controls and use of tools Hiring, supervising, and training regular and seasonal grounds crew to carry out maintenance on all properties, buildings, and fixtures Installing or assisting in installing cemetery vaults, headstones, and memorials as needed Meeting and working with the location Sales Manager to discuss the current and future needs of the location

Job Requirements:

3 years of grounds maintenance or landscaping experience Previous supervisory experience very helpful Knowledge and experience working with maps, including the layout and identification of cemetery sections, lots, and graves, or equivalent experience Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license
