With a reputation for quality, trust, and top-tier service, we're growing fast and looking for a dynamic and passionate plumbing manager to join our team. The Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, and overall success of the plumbing department, including residential service, drain, and excavation functions. This role ensures efficient operations, high-quality workmanship, strong customer satisfaction, and the development of a high-performing team.
Role:
Plumbing Service Manager Pay:
Exempt Salaried, $80,000
  • 100,000 + metric-based quarterly incentives
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
  • rotating on-call weekend day
Role Responsibilities:
Department Leadership Lead, manage, and develop a team of plumbing apprentices and technicians, drain specialists, and excavation personnel Provide ongoing coaching through ride-alongs, job site visits, and performance feedback Conduct regular performance evaluations and hold team members accountable to company standards Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of department staff Operations Management Oversee daily scheduling, dispatch coordination, and job assignments Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion, quality standards, and customer satisfaction Coordinate permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements for plumbing and excavation work as needed Financial Oversight Manage department financial performance, including revenue, gross margin, and job costing Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including average ticket, close rate, and call completion rate Develop and implement action plans to achieve departmental goals and budgets Ensure accurate pricing, estimating, and cost control practices are followed Customer Experience Resolve escalated customer issues in a timely and professional manner Ensure technicians deliver high-quality service and maintain strong customer relationships Promote a customer-first culture across the department Safety and Compliance Enforce company safety policies and procedures Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including plumbing codes Conduct regular inspections of vehicles, equipment, and job sites Maintain proper documentation and adherence to safety standards Training and Development Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and professional development training Support the growth of internal talent and succession planning within the department Promote adherence to company processes and continuous improvement initiatives
Basic Role Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of residential plumbing experience; service and/or excavation experience Prior leadership experience (Lead Technician, Foreman, Supervisor, or Manager) Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, diagnostics, and installation best practices Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Preferred Role Qualifications:
Valid Kentucky Journeyman's Plumbing License Intermediate knowledge/use of industry standard software (I.E Service Titan, or other related systems) Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and departmental performance
