Assistant Account Manager / Junior Account Manager Annapolis-Area Landscape Company Seeking an Assistant Account Manager. Are you an experienced Lawn Care Technician, Irrigation Technician, Crew Leader, Landscape Foreman, or Landscape Professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our well-established and growing Commercial and Residential Landscape Maintenance and Design company is seeking a motivated Assistant Account Manager / Junior Account Manager to support our Senior Account Managers while training for a future Account Manager role. Career Growth Opportunity This position is designed as a training and development role with a clear path to becoming a full Account Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Account Managers to learn all aspects of account management, including customer relations, property inspections, enhancement sales, estimating, scheduling, and production management/job support. As training progresses, the Assistant Account Manager will gradually assume greater responsibility, including preparing estimates and proposals, managing customer requests, conducting site visits independently, and overseeing assigned accounts. Our goal is to develop the right candidate into a full Account Manager capable of managing customer relationships, generating enhancement sales, preparing estimates, and overseeing multiple landscape maintenance crews. Experience & Qualifications A successful candidate will have: At least 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, irrigation, horticulture, or related green industry work Experience as a Crew Leader, Foreman, Lawn Technician, Irrigation Technician, or similar position preferred Basic knowledge of plant material, turf care, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance practices Strong communication and customer service skills Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn Good organizational skills and attention to detail Basic computer skills utilizing Google Workspace and Microsoft Office programs Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred but not required Clean Maryland driver's license required DOT Medical Card preferred or ability to obtain Preferred but Not Required Horticultural degree, industry certifications, or related training Experience interacting directly with customers Experience identifying and recommending landscape improvements Experience estimating small projects or enhancement work Primary Responsibilities Assist Senior Account Managers with managing commercial and residential landscape accounts Conduct property inspections and regular site visits Monitor quality, safety, and completion of landscape maintenance services Support communication between customers, crews, and management Assist with scheduling, production tracking, and job documentation Identify enhancement opportunities and assist with proposals and estimates Learn to prepare estimates and proposals for landscape enhancements, repairs, and additional services Help ensure safety standards and company procedures are followed Assist with irrigation inspections and troubleshooting Respond to customer requests and service issues in a professional manner Participate in training related to sales, estimating, customer service, and production management Progressively assume Account Manager responsibilities as training milestones are achieved Salary & Benefits Starting salary of $50,000 per year Weekly pay with direct deposit available Vacation and sick leave Health, dental, and vision insurance offered after 1 year of employment (company covers 50%) Opportunities for advancement and increased compensation based on performance Clear path to promotion into a full Account Manager position About Us For over 40 years, our Annapolis-area landscape company has provided commercial and residential landscape maintenance, irrigation, landscape installation, hardscaping, and design/build services throughout Anne Arundel County.
