Job Description

Our associates celebrate lives. We celebrate our associates. Job Description Summary Guides and coaches coworkers completing cemetery operations maintenance work assignments ensuring compliance with regulations and safety.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews and discusses daily work schedule with supervisor/manager. Implements work schedule and guides coworkers with responsibilities ensuring gravesites are properly prepared and set up prior to services. Being considerate of ongoing services, may adjust assignments to different areas of the Park. Proficiently performs cemetery maintenance responsibilities along with staff. Duties include but not limited to, installing outer burial containers; lowering device set up; burial, entombment, interment openings and closings procedures; properly hand digging graves and disinterment, and; maintaining tools and equipment. Guides, trains, and provides constructive feedback to staff. Ensures work is performed to company standards and complies with regulations. Identifies and recommends efficiencies; implements approved efficiencies. Supports change initiatives; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures. MINIMUM Requirements Education High School Diploma or equivalent Certification/License Valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving record to operate company vehicles Experience At least two (2) years industry experience Interment layout, memorial setting, and operating cemetery maintenance equipment preferred Experience operating heavy equipment preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Leadership and coaching skills Ability to use power and electrical equipment; ability to use manual hand tools such as clippers, loppers, and hedgers; ability to drive all-terrain quad vehicles with hitched trailers Professional verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills preferred Work
CONDITIONS
Work Environment Work outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions Work Postures Frequent continuous kneeling, or standing up to 6 hours per day; frequent bending and stooping Physical Demands Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required to dig using manual tools; lift, carry, or haul to 50 lbs. Work Hours May work beyond standard hours or schedule as business needs arise
