Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Turf Care Manager specializing in Fertilization and Weed Control for both warm and cool season turfs to lead and grow our turf care division. In this role, you will oversee the health and vitality of both residential and commercial clients turf areas, ensuring lush, weed-free, and well-maintained landscapes. Your expertise will drive the implementation of fertilization schedules, weed control strategies, and overall turf care programs that enhance the aesthetic appeal and sustainability of our outdoor spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your leadership skills and horticultural knowledge to create vibrant, healthy landscapes that impress clients and elevate our reputation. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive fertilization and weed control plans tailored to specific turf types and environmental conditions. Coordinate scheduled turf care activities, including, aeration, overseeding, and irrigation management. Coordinate with our Lawn Care Maintenance teams to providing training, guidance, and help our organization grow to ensure we are the premier lawn and landscape maintenance company in Upstate SC. Monitor turf health regularly through inspections, diagnosing issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, then adjusting treatment plans accordingly. Maintain detailed records of treatments applied, schedules followed, and turf conditions for reporting and compliance purposes. Collaborate with landscaping teams on construction projects or landscape renovations that impact turf areas. Stay informed about industry best practices in horticulture, lawn care, and sustainable landscaping techniques to continually improve turf management strategies. Skills Proven experience in landscape maintenance with a focus on turf management, fertilization, and weed control. Strong leadership abilities with previous supervising experience in landscaping or horticulture settings. Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing techniques, soil testing, pest management, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with construction processes related to landscape projects and tree care services. Excellent understanding of horticulture principles, gardening techniques, and overall landscape maintenance. Ability to assess turf health accurately and implement appropriate treatment plans promptly. Effective communication skills for team supervision and client interactions.
