Job Title:
Irrigation Manager SUMMARY:
Maintain a large multi zone irrigation system at a client site in the southwest region of the United States. Supervise and perform daily, specialty tasks such as scheduling irrigation repairs, maintenance, operations and irrigation audits.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following (other duties may be assigned): The primary responsibility of the Irrigation Manager is to direct daily operations related to the ground maintenance of the client. Essential aspects of this position include: 1. Plans, oversees and performs irrigation maintenance operations. 2. Supports grounds manager by monitoring budget for labor hours and material purchases. 3. Performs personnel reviews on all irrigation employees. 4. Performs routine, frequent grounds inspections. 5. Plans and monitors preventive maintenance program for all grounds related equipment. 6. Conducts routine, frequent meetings with client staff regarding grounds and irrigation maintenance. 7. Ability to operate motor vehicles, lift/move equipment, materials, supplies and tools; wear protective clothing as required by client and company. 8. Communicate with sub-contractors and ensure they follow Client safety guidelines. 9. Keep a daily log to notate issues and progress during the year. 10. Keep all logs up to date. 11. Perform safety training. 12. Ability to understand specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment. 13. Required to follow all company, client, and regulatory agency policies.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Irrigation certificate or training, and 5 years of Supervisory responsibilities; or 15 years' experience in "High End" grounds management (preferably Higher Education), 5 years at the supervisory level.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees or the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A state irrigation license is required. A valid state driver's license.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
