In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage a dedicated team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership will drive sales, optimize inventory, and maintain a vibrant, well-organized environment that inspires customers and supports business growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine management expertise with a passion for gardening and retail excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all aspects of garden center operations, including sales, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service. Recruit, train, and develop team members to foster a motivated and knowledgeable staff committed to delivering outstanding service. Manage employee scheduling, payroll processing, and shift management to ensure smooth daily operations. Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize profitability and minimize stock shortages or overstock situations. Implement effective marketing initiatives and promotional displays to attract customers and boost sales. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage cash handling procedures, and ensure compliance with store policies. Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and suppliers through negotiation and purchasing expertise to secure the best products at competitive prices. Skills Proven management experience in retail or garden center environments with supervising responsibilities.
