Job Summary The Groundskeeper performs a full range of grounds maintenance and gardening duties; assists in various related construction and landscaping projects; and prepares other special venues according to the user's request or published specifications. Essential Functions Mows lawns, trims, prunes trees, fertilizes, maintains irrigation systems, waters, sweeps walkways and building entry ways. Operates various grounds equipment such as tractors, mowers, edger's, trimmers, spreaders, aerators, top dressers, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Completion of formal or informal education or experience which assures the ability to read, write, and speak at a level sufficient for the successful completion of the job duties as described. Desired Qualifications Experience working grounds maintenance in a college or large property (20 acres or more) Experience using heavy equipment such as tractors and mowers Special Working Conditions Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions May be required to lift or carry up to 50 pounds Possession of a valid State of Arizona Drivers License (Class D) is required How to Apply Applicants are required to submit a resume showing how the applicant meets the minimum and desired qualifications.
