Groundsman are the backbone of every tree service, and we want our Groundsman to grow with us. See the job summary below for more details. About the Role As a Groundsman, you'll play an essential role in supporting our tree care operations. Working closely with climbers and crew leaders, you'll help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work at every jobsite. This is a hands-on, outdoor position offering opportunities for professional development, certifications, and advancement within the arboricultural field. Standard work week consists of four 10-hour days. Responsibilities Perform safe and proper tree care services for clients under supervision. Participate in safe job setups, including placement of cones, signage, and work zone barriers. Support climbers and crew leaders by anticipating and fulfilling their needs for efficient, safe operations. Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and backpack blowers safely and effectively. Inspect, clean, and report maintenance needs for tools and vehicles daily. Maintain proficiency with ropes, rigging, and other arboricultural equipment. Keep the jobsite organized and ensure it is fully cleaned before completion. Work collaboratively as part of a team, assisting other crew members as needed. Maintain a professional image and serve as an ambassador of Ironleaf Arbor Care to clients and the public. Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, clients, and pedestrians around worksites. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Clean driver's license is desired. CDL or ability to attain is desired. 1 year experience in a related role. Prior tree care experience is desired. Excellent situational awareness skills. Ability to perform job while keeping safety a top priority.
