Duties Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, trimming, planting, and mulching to keep gardens lush and tidy Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, power tools, irrigation systems, and ground tools safely and efficiently Identify plants accurately, including native species, and manage their growth through proper pruning, fertilization, and watering techniques Manage plant pest control using integrated pest management practices and pesticide applications in accordance with safety guidelines Maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for different plant types and landscape zones Conduct regular grounds inspections to identify issues related to plant health or pests and implement timely solutions Assist with farming or horticultural projects that involve growing plants from seeds or cuttings, especially native or specialty plants Requirements Proven experience with greenhouse operations, landscape maintenance, or gardening roles Strong knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, soil management, and sustainable practices Hands-on experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools and irrigation systems Familiarity with native plants, lawn care techniques, and plant pest control methods Ability to climb ladders or trees safely when necessary for pruning or planting tasks Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork in a fast-paced environment Valid certification or experience in pesticide management is preferred but not required Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials as needed Embark on a rewarding career where your gardening expertise transforms outdoor spaces into breathtaking landscapes.
