  • Full-time Domaine Carneros is a sparkling wine and Pinot Noir estate nestled in the heart of the Carneros region and our grounds are as stunning as our wine.
We are searching for a skilled Groundskeeper Lead to help maintain our pristine landscape in Napa Valley. In this hands-on role your passion and expertise in horticulture, irrigation, and landscape equipment repair will be the driving force behind maintaining our immaculate property, keeping our landscape healthy and pristine, and leading our groundskeeping processes.
What You'll Do:
Assist with organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling groundskeeping tasks through the department's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Assist in creating and updating standard operating procedures for the groundskeeping team. Operate and maintain the irrigation system, troubleshoot leaks, and optimize water usage and scheduling based on horticultural needs, seasonality, rain events, and activities around the Visitor Center. Implement horticultural best practices to promote healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping and to prevent detrimental effects of environmental threats such as insects, inclement weather, etc. Maintain inventory and assist in the budgeting and cost conscious purchases of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for the groundskeeping team. Plan and schedule the inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of all groundskeeping equipment to minimize downtime. Assist with organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling groundskeeping tasks through the department's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
What You Bring:
3+ years of grounds or landscape maintenance experience (luxury resort, high-end hospitality, or winery preferred) Strong plant health knowledge: understanding of horticultural care, pest and insect impacts, weather effects, and corrective action Hands-on expertise with landscape irrigation systems: installation, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization Equipment maintenance and repair skills Intermediate computer skills; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience coaching or guiding others in a work setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Valid CA driver's license with ability to be insured under Company's driver's program Strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and conservation practices
