Job Overview The Part-Time Landscaper and Maintenance Assistant is responsible for supporting the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of California Recovery Center's facilities. This position performs routine landscaping, assists with facility maintenance tasks, and ensures company vehicles are maintained in clean and operational condition. The role requires the ability to work independently while maintaining consistency and quality of work across multiple sites. Duties Perform routine landscaping duties at all assigned properties, including mowing, edging, trimming, and general clean-up Maintain outdoor areas in a clean, safe, and presentable condition Remove debris, weeds, and other hazards from grounds as needed Assist in preventative maintenance tasks to ensure facilities remain in good working condition Support maintenance staff with larger repair or improvement projects Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or repair needs to the supervisor Ensure all company vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition Transport vehicles to the car wash weekly or as directed Report any vehicle maintenance concerns promptly Cover assigned duties in the absence of the supervisor as needed Follow all company policies and safety procedures Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or leadership team. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior landscaping or general maintenance experience preferred but not required Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail Current CPR and First Aid certification Current TB test results.
Schedule:
Part-time, approximately 12-20 hours per week MWF from 8am to 12pm, with occasional full days 3-5 times a month.
