JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Maintenance/Property Manager, the Landscaping Lead will serve as the point person in coordinating activities of employees engaged in the needs of landscaping or groundskeeping - working side-by-side with staff to address irrigation needs, maintain trees, shrubs, plants and lawns utilizing hand, power tools or equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with training staff.
- Instructing Landscaping team/delegating tasks
- Monitor projects to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained- report concerns to Maintenance Manager
- Ensure staff are performing their jobs safely, according to company policy and any applicable laws or regulations
- Care of established lawns by mowing, weeding, trimming and edging
- Follow provided landscape design and instructions in planting new and maintain existing plants and flowers
- Trim existing shrubs
- Prune and trim trees and hedges
- Plant flowers, seeds and foliage per instructions
- Installation, repair and maintenance of the irrigation system, including winterizing the system and spring startup and ensuring that sprinklers are properly set and are in working order
- Gather and remove litter
- Clean and maintain gardening equipment
- Clean and maintain hard grounds
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist maintenance when requested
- Other duties as assigned
