In this energetic and hands-on role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining the irrigation systems that keep the course vibrant and thriving. Your expertise will ensure optimal water distribution, supporting the overall landscape health and aesthetic appeal of the golf course. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components including valves, pipes, sprinklers, and controllers to ensure proper operation. Adjust watering schedules based on weather conditions, turf health needs, and seasonal requirements to promote optimal lawn care. Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to support overall course aesthetics. Use construction skills to modify or upgrade existing irrigation infrastructure for improved efficiency and coverage. Maintain detailed records of system repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for operational tracking. Collaborate with turf management staff to coordinate irrigation schedules with other landscape maintenance activities. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems and related equipment. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment including excavators for construction or repair projects. Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and horticulture principles. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely and effectively in outdoor environments. Familiarity with irrigation technology including controllers, valves, sensors, and timers. Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Good physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
