JOB DESCRIPTION

Summer Grounds Helper (Trimming, landscaping). Lakeview Cemetery, located at 885 Boston Avenue in Bridgeport is seeking a reliable individual for a seasonal summer position focused primarily on grass trimming and related duties. This is a temporary summer role supporting our grounds crew during peak growing months.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, approximately 35-40 hours per week (7 - 8-hour days), weather dependent.

Workday hours are 7:30 - 3:30. Season runs through the summer months, mid-August.

Hourly Wage:

$20.00

Job Responsibilities:

Grass trimming around headstones, markers, and buildings (80-90%) Mowing of grass on cemetery grounds General yard and landscaping duties Maintain clean and neat grounds appearance Assist with light debris or trash pick-up as needed Other duties on grounds and in garage area, as assigned by Superintendent Follow all safety cemetery guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older. Reliable and punctual (workday begins at 7:30 AM). Dependable transportation to Boston Avenue in Bridgeport Ability to safely operate trimming/mowing equipment. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift 75 lbs., and bend, lift, and stand for extended periods. Respectful and professional in a cemetery environment.

Experience:
