Responsibilities Assist in landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and watering to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including edging, pruning, and debris removal Support the installation of hardscape features like patios, walkways, and retaining walls using appropriate equipment and techniques Perform lawn care duties such as aeration, fertilization, and overseeding to promote lush turf growth Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to enhance landscape aesthetics and safety Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and assisting with system adjustments or repairs Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for properties and pathways Throwing sod Skills Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot equipment like excavators, lawnmowers, trimmers, and other landscaping machinery Experience with landscape maintenance techniques including gardening, horticulture practices, and hardscape installation Proficiency with hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (drills, saws) used in landscaping projects Knowledge of tree care practices such as trimming, planting, and health assessment Ability to perform lawn care tasks including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding effectively Familiarity with irrigation systems for installation, inspection, and repair purposes Understanding of construction principles related to landscaping projects involving excavation or hardscape features Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions along with attention to safety protocols Embark on a rewarding journey in landscaping where your hands-on skills will flourish!
