Lawn Maintenance

We are looking for a hardworking, motivated individual that is interested in working outdoors in nature, with all its glory. Lawn/property maintenance worker, experience preferred, but will happily train the right candidate.

Physical Demands:

Safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to backpack blowers, trimmers for edging/weeding, mulch/plant material/rock, various sizes of lawnmowers, etc. Safely operate hand and power equipment, including but not limited to manual and powered sawing and cutting equipment Leverage 80 lbs. of a ride/walk behind mower over curbs Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Lift branches and limbs Push, pull, grip and squeeze various tools, products and/or items (e.g., pruning) Walk up to 10 miles a day, sometimes uphill and on uneven terrain, often while carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment, materials, or debris.

Work Environment:

Work hours vary and may exceed 10 hours per day Work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation) Noise level may be loud at times and use of ear plugs may be required (e.g., outdoor conditions, backpack blowers, running mowers, trimmers) Perform maintenance on properties: Safely operate equipment with all necessary personal protective equipment Mow turf using a variety of mowers Edge grass at curbs, walkways and flowerbeds as directed Use blower to move leaves and clippings after each job and as needed Prune shrubs and trees as needed and clear debris Pull weeds Clean site and watch for trash, limbs, rocks, and various debris Perform basic maintenance on equipment: Unload/reload equipment from trucks Wash equipment and truck as needed Change equipment blades and oil on a regular basis and as needed Clean air filters on regular basis and as needed Grease machine fittings on a regular basis and as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Some experience in lawn care helpful Ability to operate various lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers, backpack blowers is a plus.

REQUIRED

- Valid/active driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work • - Can discuss during interview. All positions are outdoors, very physical and fast paced. Estimated start time is 7:00 am till 5:00pm Monday-Friday. Occasionally Saturday work may be needed. End and start times vary depending on traffic, weather, job task and seasons.
