Schedule :
Full-time, typically 40 hours per week (early mornings required) Position Summary The Full-Time Groundskeeper at TOPS'L Club of NW Florida plays a key role in maintaining the club's clay courts and overall facility appearance. This position ensures that all playing surfaces are kept in top condition and that members enjoy a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. Primary Responsibilities Clay Court Maintenance (Majority of Role) Perform daily clay court routines: brushing, line sweeping, rolling, and watering. Manage moisture levels throughout the day to ensure optimal playability. Repair and level court surfaces, fill and smooth low spots, and maintain consistent clay depth. Maintain court lines, net posts, straps, and adjust net height as needed. Conduct seasonal clay maintenance such as top-dressing and court preparation. Facility & Grounds Maintenance Maintain landscaping around courts and clubhouse (mowing, edging, trimming, debris removal). Keep walkways, viewing areas, and seating areas clean and safe. Check and maintain windscreens, fencing, court signage, benches, water coolers, and scorekeepers. Empty trash and recycling throughout the facility. Perform minor irrigation repairs including sprinkler head replacement, leak detection, and basic system adjustments. Equipment Operation & Care Operate and maintain rollers, blowers, mowers, and other court equipment. Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of court tools, maintenance equipment, and irrigation components. Track and report supply needs such as clay, calcium chloride, line tape, and irrigation materials. General Support Complete opening and closing procedures for courts and facility areas. Assist with special events or tournaments by preparing courts and surrounding areas. Communicate with management about court conditions, repair needs, or safety issues. Qualifications Experience with clay court maintenance strongly preferred (training available). Prior groundskeeping, landscaping, or facility maintenance experience helpful. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform manual labor. Work Environment Outdoor, physical role requiring early morning start times. Full-time, year-round position with increased workload during peak tennis season. Interaction with staff, members, and vendors.
