Job Overview Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Grounds Crew Member and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful, safe, and functional outdoor spaces. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for the upkeep of athletic fields, landscapes, and golf course grounds, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and safety. Your hands-on work will help enhance the environment for players, visitors, and community members alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and equipment operation while contributing to a vibrant outdoor setting. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to keep grounds healthy and visually appealing Operate ground maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, chainsaws, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Maintain athletic fields by aerating, fertilizing, overseeding, and managing turf health to ensure optimal playing conditions Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling of materials, and equipment setup for various landscaping projects Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify pests or disease issues; apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols Maintain equipment through regular cleaning, preventive maintenance, and reporting repairs needed to ensure operational safety Requirements Prior experience or knowledge in golf course groundskeeping, athletic field care, or landscaping is preferred but not required; training will be provided Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and grounds maintenance equipment Knowledge of irrigation systems and pesticide management techniques is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely for extended periods Strong attention to safety protocols related to power tool use and equipment operation Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar machinery preferred Basic understanding of horticulture principles including lawn care, gardening, and land management practices Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions with a positive attitude Join us in creating exceptional outdoor environments!
