Responsibilities Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote healthy turf growth. Maintain landscaped areas by pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and performing tree care activities including trimming and removal when necessary. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators to carry out landscaping projects efficiently and safely. Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of lawns and gardens. Execute hardscape projects including the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor features. Conduct seasonal snow plowing to keep pathways clear during winter months. Support garden maintenance efforts by planting new greenery, mulching beds, and managing horticultural practices to enhance aesthetic appeal. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate a variety of landscaping equipment and power tools safely. Extensive experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices. Knowledge of tree care techniques such as trimming, pruning, and health assessment. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting. Ability to use hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks. Experience with snow plowing operations during winter seasons. Understanding of construction principles related to hardscape installations like patios or pathways. Excellent maintenance skills for equipment upkeep and safety compliance in outdoor work environments.
