TITLE Grounds Keeper
DESCRIPTION
Full Time:
8am -4:30pm
Position:
Groundskeeper Job Summary:
Performs all aspects of creating and maintaining a visually pleasing landscape.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Maintain flower beds by planting, weeding, and mulching as required. Maintain annual flowers by eliminating dead heads as necessary.
Edge grass w appropriate.
Dig with shovel as assigned.
Trim trees, shrubs as assigned. Pick up debris from roadways, sidewalks, and landscape
Operate leaf vacuum, mower, weed eater, and edger
Clean off roofs by using broom and blowers as needed.
Report safety concerns immediately to supervisor or upper management.
Other Functions and Responsibilities:
Other duties as requested or assigned.
Working Conditions:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places;
Routinely works in outside weather conditions; is frequently exposed to hot and cold weather, wet and/or humid conditions
May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment may be unusually high requiring protective gear.
Educational, Physical, and Other Requirements:
Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse (Learn more: info.flclearinghouse)
Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable amodations. Physical requirements may include frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift, stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and smell. Vision abilities may require close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
For the safety and security of our residents and patients, employees must be able to read, write, and verballymunicate in English, which is the most universally used language of our resident and employee population. Must have knowledge of use and maintenance of basic hand and power tools required to perform job functions. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, squat, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and use arms, hands and fingers to reach, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls.
Must possess a current, valid driver's license.
