Overview Join our dynamic team as a Groundsman and play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and beauty of outdoor landscapes and infrastructure. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to care for trees, lawns, and landscaped areas. As a Groundsman, you will support arborists and landscape professionals by performing essential tasks that ensure our outdoor environments are vibrant, safe, and well-maintained. This paid position is perfect for individuals passionate about horticulture, tree care, and outdoor work who thrive in active, hands-on roles. Duties Assist with tree removal, pruning, trimming, and planting using arborist rigging techniques and proper safety protocols Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other landscaping tools safely and efficiently Support tree care activities including rigging for large or hazardous trees using arborist rigging techniques Conduct lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and general landscape maintenance Perform plant pruning care to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal of trees and shrubs Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and site planning purposes Follow safety procedures rigorously during all outdoor activities to ensure personal and team safety Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related fields preferred Knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and tree removal techniques Experience operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other landscaping or arborist equipment Familiarity with GIS technology is a plus for site mapping and planning tasks Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or materials regularly Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) is advantageous Join us to cultivate your skills in a lively environment dedicated to enhancing outdoor spaces!
