Landscape Foreman / Lawn Maintenance Lead Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and reliable Landscape Foreman / Lawn Maintenance Lead to oversee daily landscaping and lawn care operations. This individual will be responsible for supervising crew members, ensuring high-quality work, and maintaining healthy, attractive landscapes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of local plant varieties, proper plant care practices, and hands-on experience with a wide range of landscaping equipment. Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership & Training Lead, supervise, and motivate landscape and lawn maintenance crews. Train team members on proper equipment use, safety procedures, and landscaping techniques. Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards. Landscape & Plant Care Identify and understand local plant species, seasonal growth habits, and proper maintenance techniques. Oversee pruning, planting, trimming, fertilization, mulching, and general plant health care. Diagnose landscape issues such as plant disease, pests, and irrigation problems. Lawn Maintenance & Equipment Operation Operate and train crew on all lawn care equipment, including: Weed eaters Edgers Hedge trimmers Zero-turn mowers Blowers Chainsaws Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment. Sod Preparation & Installation Prepare soil, grade areas properly, and ensure site readiness for sod installation. Lay sod accurately and efficiently to ensure proper rooting and long-term health. Daily Operations Coordinate job schedules, route planning, and task assignments. Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and left in excellent condition. Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors, and team members. Qualifications Proven experience in landscaping, lawn maintenance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of local plants, turf types, and proper care methods. Ability to safely operate and train others on all landscape equipment. Experience with sod prep and installation required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs. Valid driver's license preferred.
