Job Description

Oversee, an award-winning vacation rental management company, is seeking a dedicated Lead Gardener to focus exclusively on a small, fixed portfolio of private residential and commercial properties. This role does not involve our vacation rentals, guests, or homeowners. Instead, you will work with the Oversee owner to build our groundskeeping program from the ground up for these properties. You will be responsible for creating the initial processes, seasonal schedules, and maintenance routines. Once the systems are in place, you will take hands-on ownership of executing them, while also managing part-time assistants to help you complete larger projects and routine maintenance. Salary $60,000 + benefits.
Responsibilities Process Development:
Design, document, and implement comprehensive landscaping schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) tailored specifically to this small portfolio of properties.
Hands-On Cultivation:
Plant, cultivate, and proactively maintain various plants, flowers, shrubs, and turf to ensure these properties always look their absolute best.
Team Leadership:
Coordinate, schedule, and direct part-time gardening assistants as needed for heavy-maintenance days or larger landscaping projects.
Quality & Health Control:
Conduct regular walkthroughs to monitor plant health, plan seasonal updates, and manage soil, weed, and pest control.
Inventory & Equipment:
Manage the inventory for landscaping supplies, fertilizers, and tools, ensuring all equipment is safely operated and properly maintained. Requirements Proven hands-on experience in professional gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping (knowledge of local Florida coastal flora is a huge plus!). A self-starter mentality with the ability to build organizational systems from scratch and work autonomously. Leadership capabilities and clear communication skills to effectively direct part-time help. A solid understanding of plant health, soil management, basic irrigation, and safe maintenance practices. Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license preferred Benefits Training & Development Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Short Term & Long Term Disability Training & Development Wellness Resources
