Duties Mow lawns using various equipment such as push mowers, riding mowers, and lawn tractors to achieve a clean and even appearance. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming trees and shrubs, pruning, edging, and planting. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, planting, aerating soil, and installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and performing repairs to ensure optimal watering schedules. Conduct snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients and team members. Assist with construction projects involving landscape installation or hardscape features to enhance outdoor aesthetics. Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as excavators, lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and other landscaping machinery to ensure reliable operation. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain landscaping equipment and power tools. Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening with an understanding of horticulture principles. Ability to operate hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools safely and efficiently. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair techniques. Familiarity with tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and health assessment. Experience with snow plowing equipment operation during winter seasons. Basic understanding of construction techniques related to hardscape features like patios or retaining walls. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
