Job Description

Equipment Operator/Landscaping Location:
Sailfish Sands Golf Course Contract position with reSOURCE Government Services Pay rate: $17 hourly + holiday pay and paid time off
Work Schedule:
40 hour work week 5am - 1:30pm Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug testing
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Operating large mowing equipment and tractors Mowing small turf areas using "fly-mo" or small push power mowers Trimming and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer Operating a gas-powered blower Trimming shrubs and low trees to shape and improve growth or to remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs using shears, pruners, or gas powered hedge trimmers Picking up leaves, trash, and cut grass and placing onto a truck or trailer Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe Ability to report for daily work at different job sites within region to perform required tasks May include Custodial and/or Irrigator duties as assigned. Daily monitoring of landscape beds to ensure appearance meets Owner expectations. Applying pesticides to remove harmful insects and disease Conducting general maintenance duties such as mowing, trimming, cleaning walkways and parking lots. Fertilize and irrigating plants to ensure proper health Maintain flower beds by removing weeds and dead plants, applying mulch, etc. Trimming overgrown limbs, hedges and leaves Planting new decorative bushes, annual flowers, plants and shrubs Operating riding and walking equipment, power tools and hand tools as required Policing areas for trash and debris removal Keeps buildings and property in clean and orderly condition. Performs routine maintenance activities. Performs heavy cleaning duties. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors. Gathers and empties trash. Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities. Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment. Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers. Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures. Manages inventory of cleaning supplies. Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems. Physical demands are required for this position and might include, but are not limited to: Regular light lifting up to 20 pounds Regular exposure to outside environment including rain, cold, sun, or night Especially Repetitive movement- twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping, standing, walking, sitting
Qualifications :
Knowledge of Operating riding and walking equipment, power tools and hand tools as required. Drivers License Bi-Lingual preferred Florida Retirement System (FRS) Employment Disclosure Requirement All candidates are required to respond to the following questions during the hiring process.
