Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Tennis Court Maintenance and Construction Specialist to ensure the highest standards of tennis court quality, safety, and functionality. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing new courts, performing routine maintenance, and implementing landscape improvements to create optimal playing surfaces. Your expertise will help maintain pristine courts that provide players with exceptional experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, apply your landscaping skills, and contribute to a vibrant sports community. Responsibilities Construct new tennis courts by preparing surfaces, installing surfacing materials, and ensuring proper drainage systems are in place. Perform regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning courts, repairing cracks, resurfacing surfaces, and replacing worn-out materials. Manage irrigation systems to keep courts properly hydrated while preventing water damage or pooling. Conduct landscape maintenance around courts, including lawn care, gardening, pruning, and landscaping enhancements to improve aesthetics and safety. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as leveling surfaces, installing fencing, or repairing equipment. Apply horticultural practices to maintain surrounding greenery and ensure a visually appealing environment. Assist with the installation and upkeep of lighting systems to enable safe evening play. Experience Prior experience in sports surface construction or maintenance is highly desirable. But we're happy to train as well. Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, lawn care, gardening, and horticulture techniques. Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools for construction and repair projects. Ability to perform routine inspections of courts for damage or wear and carry out necessary repairs promptly. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to landscaping, construction work, and equipment handling. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions is preferred.
