A Landscaping or Groundskeeping Worker provides landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Provides care for plants and trees including mowing, trimming and planting, and repairs driveways, walks, benches or other structures.
Tampa Bay Sun FC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to support our growing team. This individual will play a key role in assisting with athletic field maintenance at both the team facility and Suncoat Credit Union Field. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about sports operations and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Mowing, trimming, weeding, and general maintenance of natural grass and athletic turf Assist in the preparation and maintenance of both natural grass and artificial turf playing surfaces, including field painting, lining, divot repair, and turf care. Assist with field preparation for matches, training sessions, tournaments, and special events. Operate hand tools and powered equipment safely and effectively. Operate various turf and landscape maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles. Assist with general groundskeeping tasks including debris removal, edging, and landscape upkeep. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of basic landscaping and grounds maintenance procedures, including the safe use of equipment. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to work with minimal supervision at times. Strong work ethic, reliability, time management, organization, and communication skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Previous experience in sports turf, landscaping, groundskeeping, or athletics field maintenance preferred but not required.
